Book of Swords
Open the BOOK OF SWORDS and be prepared to witness a spectacular fight for Earth's salvation that begins on the neon-soaked streets of a nocturnal Chicago and continues on the dusty planes of an Asian after-world... Pieces of a mystically predestined puzzle begin to come together when Chicago police officers Lang (Ho-sung Pak, star of "Drunken Master II", "WMAC Masters",) and Lucky (Taimak, "The Last Dragon") enter into a routine undercover operation. They expect this operation to follow the same path it always has, with justice prevailing. However, Tazz (Rich Divizio) and Apollo (former Chicago Bear Shaun Gayle) - the psychotic bosses of an underworld crime crew - have different designs on the matter, and Lucky and Lang's brother gets killed in the process. His faith shaken, Lang disappears, leaving behind Beth (Liesel Guinto), the love of his life and the sworn duty to protect the city from the criminals that threaten to take control with a hail of bullets, fists and knives. Three years later, Lang returns to Chicago with only his brother's bullet-pocked badge and his own razor-sharp senses of justice and honor. Lang's only goal is to earn his life back, but to do this he must render the slate clean by wiping out the crew that killed his partner and his brother. However, there are mystical spirits that have transcended time to decide a much higher destiny for Lang: the salvation of Asia. As Lang finds himself mired deeper and deeper in the mysticism beyond his realm of understanding, he is slowly drawn into a battle between good and evil - only Lang is never certain who his final opponent will be. In this one of a kind, action-packed film, Ho-sung Pak brings to the screen a very difficult and elaborate style of Kung-fu known as Wushu. Witness gravity-defying feats as Ho-sung, one of the greatest modern practitioners of this ancient style of martial arts in America and throughout the world executes 4 to 5 kicks in midair and 720 degree kicks, butterfly twists, where his body spins one and a half rotations while being perfectly parallel to the ground - all without any help from wires!!! Unfettered evil is disguised by virtue and calm erupts into fatal violence... Enter the BOOK OF SWORDS, a world of prophecies where only one, the one truly possessed by "the spirit of the Dragon" can triumph...

29th Street
On 29th Street, I did some extra work when I was'nt shooting Turtles.
The director himself, George Gallo, personally selected me for a bit part between takes
and wanted to try something I guess he had an idea for, and the shot went to print,
but was told the scene idea did'nt work too well with the story, so it was cut.
Oh well, I guess that's the way it goes. The experience for me just being
in a film with Danny Aiello and Anthony LaPaglia will always be a great
memory for me.

Richard Divizio

On Christmas Eve, Frankie Pesce of Queens wins $6 million in New York State's first lottery. Instead of joy, he's in a rage, breaking church windows and disturbing the peace. At the police station, he tells his story. He's extraordinarily lucky, beginning with surviving a dicey childbirth; he works a little here and there; he still lives with his parents, his sister, her husband, and his older brother. They have noisy relationships, and at the heart is his father: a guy with dreams but little to show for them. Dad has lost his trucking business to a Mafia wise guy, now he's lost his job as a teamster. But is dad really a loser, and why, after winning $6 million, is Frankie desolate?

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II
"The Secret of the Ooze"

The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II was my first experience in a major motion picture.
I was 22 years old and enjoyed my 3 months of filming in Wilmington, North Carolina.
I began my martial arts training with 7 Star Preying Mantis Chinese Kung Fu at the age of 13,
and continued on to learn the Art of WuShu till the age of 26.
I hold a screen credit for a principal role of one of the Foot Clan Soldiers.

KANO
Mortal Kombat
The game that started it all ...
For me, it began with a phone call that came from game creator and personal friend, John Tobias,
shortly after I returned from filming Turtles. John was looking to create a fighting game that would
blow the video game Street Fighter out of the water, and was wondering if the guys,
( Meaning Dan Pesina, Carlos Pesina, Ho Sung Pak ) and myself would come in so he could record our martial arts moves. You see, all of us guys, pretty much grew up with each other, and we had already known
John for a few years, and so history was about to be made, and we did'nt even know it.

Digitization was going to be taken to brand new levels.
John put together a series of character sketches, and I became a mercenary thief,
also known as
KANO
